Truck number 2:
2006 Ford F350 Crew Cab dually 4x4
White
26,000 miles
Diesel Automatic
Chrome Appearance Package
Lariat Interior which includes:
Heated driver/passanger Captains Leather seats
Bench leather rear seat
Power Mirrors
Eclipse DVD Navigation System
Tow package with tow command system
Power sliding rear window
Power adjustable pedals
Rear backup sensors
Bedliner
Bully Dog Outlook monitor
Banks Big hoss kit - Air intake exhaust stuff
Previously had a Bully Dog tune as well.

I have no cons with the first truck. Beautiful, drove great blah blah blah.
The second one though i have an issue with the dvd navi system. It doesn't tie into the steering wheel controls and will not play a dvd while truck is driving. Also, don't know what kind of hot rodding was done with the extra power the guy put down.

Both dealers asking same price. In comparison they are each unique to extra features. What would you go with??

If it were me, I'd buy another Dodge. If you are dead set on one of those 2 trucks I'd go for the 2nd one, less miles same price, Nav and upgrades. I think you'll be dissappointed in the blue oval but thats just my opinion.

unfortunately i gotta go with Ford's Crew Cab, kids coming into play and need the space inside. Dodge's Quad Cab just don't cut and the Mega Cab Dually is just ugly. i'd have to get a gooseneck extender to put on my trailer for the short bed.

not sure on the nav system and steering wheel controls But they wont play dvds while driving down the road. Its a driver saftey thing. If there is one in the back(on the roof) that one should.

I skipped Fords....the kids can be happy I didn't keep the old quad cab!

Sorry, no luck with Fords here unless they were pre 1997.

Have a good one.

ps. Id go for the non-bombed truck if it were me.

How big of kids are we talking about here? I never had trouble fitting into an extended cab pickup until I was around 15. If you think you don't have enough room in a Dodge "crew cab" take a good trip to Europe. It's better than buying a 6.0h-no! One other thought - General Motors.

D-max is the way to go if you don't want a dodge. They have very few problems other than some injector issues in the LB7(01-early 04), also ride and drive better than the fords. Check out all the threads on here about the 6.0 ford before you decide to buy one.

why are you looking to buy a 6.0ltr? havent you read about the millions of problems that they have? But if you do get the second, it is just one wire that controls the dvd player from playing, if you find any good mechanic that knows his electronics he will know which one to disconnect...

Dodge first, Duramax if you must... but PLEASE stay away from the Fords. Your kids won't care how big that back seat is when they are stranded on the side of the road in the middle of the summer heat or winter cold.

I had a ford at on e point trouble caused me to get the one i got now. I thought i wanted to trade it off a few months ago until i drove the chevy and the ford reminded me why i got the dodge in the first place. CUMMINS/DODGE hands down. I have 2 kids 2 and 5 car seats and booster with a dog in the bed. we scoot with no problem just took a little getting used to. The chevy's cab wasnt as big as i thought i t would be\; it was all door not leg room or anything. Your money your choice.

Given the nature of this board i exptected to get such answers. I am a current Ford Focus owner. I have several friends with the "6.0h no's" with no issues. Also, the fact that i will be carrying around several adults and child seat leads to the bigger cab. I myself am 6'2" and of average to large size. Being cramped in a vehicle that i spent that much money on is just not reasonable. Hence the reason for going away from my dodge quad cab. I am stuck on the ford because it is what the wife wants. I wanted to go with chevy but she wants ford. As for the 6.0l problems, i have heard less and less about them having issues after the 2004 model year. Just my opinion though. thanks for ya'll's input.

No problem, i am by no means a ford hater, the wife drives an '05 taurus and i like their trucks, just not the 6.0l, but i drive a 6.0 ambulance at work and see first hand the problems they have when used hard, I am just not impressed. Although they were worse in '03-'04 and there are people that have no problems i just can't in good concience advise the purchase of one. But good luck.
