Most people on here probly get tears in there eyes when they approch a long tunnel .
I know i do it every chance i get next to anything soild. Store fronts, other cars, railing, tunnels, tractor trailers, trees, houses, guard rails, hwy sound blocking walls , overpasses, parking garages .
Theres this one train bridge that i go under that is very narrow. Speed limit is 55mph. I fly under that thing in 4th at about 2600 rpms full throttle, concrete wall about 18" away from the side, blows out my passengers ears every time. Cant beat that deep roar of power. Youre not the only crazy guy! -Jake

On the way to work there's an overpass I go under that's 5 lanes wide AND the walls are vertical and only about 3 feet from the road. I'm so lucky. It's like a mini-tunnel. And yes, I do romp on it every day going through there.

I park in the lower level of a crowded parking garage and love to light it up going up the ramp while everyone is walking to their cars. Guess I am weird too.

I forgot to mention that driving behind shopping centers that are usually 1/4 mile long are great too

There is NO better sound than a straight piped Cummins exhaust echoing off of a wall or fence or whatever. right after i installed the GSK i was pulling a 32ft goosneck with about 6 Big round bales on it. I had to take off at the bottom of a decent sized hill with a nice plank fence right beside it. Had my passenger window down with the rear sliding glass open, and Goodness Gracious did it sound absolutley AWESOME!!! Hearing it wind tight in 1st, and then click into 2nd gear where it puts more load on the motor is just absolutley awesome! I dont have a lot of places that i go by that i can do this, but ever chance i get i do it! Also, i have roll up/down windows, so i have to just open the rear glass which is still allright because you get all kinds of sound through there. Also, going across a bridge going to my house the braces and stuff run down the side of the bridge, and i can just be accelerating normally and every brace you pass, you can hear the turbo just whistling away and echoing back at you, and if you let out of it, you can hear that too. It sounds awesome! Also, i forgot, but coming home from school when i have the windows down there are 2 places i can hear it echo back. Right as i pull off the main road, there is a sighn over in a field that echoes back at me good, and sometimes ill crawl down on it, and it sounds awesome going by there. It sounds good even if im just NORMALLY(in other words 3/4 throttle ) accelerating. Then right after i pass this other little bridge i slow down to about 50mph because its a little rough, then right as i get past it there are 2 concrete walls about 6ft long(one on each side of a street) that are just barely off the road, and man with the Converter locked in 4th gear, ill just ease down on it enough to make the motor really start putting out at about 1200rpm's or so, and it sounds AWESOME! Cant do it now because its cold though(cant get my sister to roll down the window) .

Signature600: You know you want to! Mine isnt much louder in the cab than dads stock truck with muffler, and all. Did you have a drone or something you didnt like? I dont know, but i will NEVER have a cummins without a straight pipe

Drone, NO!! More like a ROAR!

My truck cruises right in that sweet spot where it sounds AWESOME, but that also happens to be the LOUDEST spot, too.

Oh Well, when I gut the interior in the next few weeks to install my stereo stuff, and sound deaden it, I'll try again.

I've been wanting to get ahold of a resonator (4") to see if that will take a little "edge" off, and not kill the "perfection."

Kids!!! My kids still do that. I don't know where they got it from Couldn't be from my 87 Dakota that I put a 454 dual quad rectangle port heads with side pipes on blowing by cool mustangs and having them watch their faces when I shift into 2nd at 5800 and smoke the tires right next to them and blow on past them. When I get a few bucks together I will put some 5 in straight pipe on mine. You can't beat the sound of 5 inch, unless you go 8 in. The echo is awsom.

im wondering about straight piping mine. Anyone have a sound clip of a 600 with a straight pipe? ive heard a 555 with a straight and it sounded like a semi. Right now when im in OD and i press the throttle a little bit, i can hear a deep tone from the exhaust. i just want that louder. will straight piping do that or do i need a new muffler?

Most do it for sound. You may see a little increase inpower and economy but if you have a cat and remove it will make the biggest difference. If you are into big HP then you will need the larger exhaust.
