Newbie.
Have owned a cummins dodge since buying my first truck new in 1996. Was always a chevy man. Wanted a good diesel and couldn't make myself buy a ford. Bought a 1996 2500 ctd nv4500 club cab 4x4 laramie slt. Now have 235k miles on truck. Recently purchased 2003 3500 srw qc 4x4 nv5600.
One question I have for the forum is; I am going to sell my 96'. It is great shape mechanically. Still has original clutch. 5th wheel nut has been welded on. Has gooseneck hitch, tool box, new headliner and seat repaired. Has always been stock. It needs a paint job and has some dents and dings from use on farm. The best truck I have ever owned. Just needed crew cab with expanding family, and a friend got a new truck and I got the fever. What should I ask for the truck? Thanks in advance for any replies.

I think what you will get for the truck strongly depends on where you live.
Check the classifieds here on DTR and other sites like Auto Trader to see what others are selling for.
Here in NC, I bought my '96 3500 2WD automatic for $6,200.
Needed a little bit of work cosmetically and a few fixes here and there.
Its probably cost about $8,800 to date, mainly because of the tranny rebuild + tc + VB.

For a nice shape 96 5 speed club cab, I would say 8500-10000, depending on your market. I paid $5900 for my 94 4x4 auto with 220k, which runs well, but has badly peeling paint and some dents. I'm in Ohio and 12valves usually bring a premium dollar.
