Funny story.
Was boating last week down in the Ozarks. One of my friends has a Seadoo boat w/ a Merc 6cyl 2 stroke.
He filled up w/ over 19gal of diesel (40 gal tank). Running 50/50 gas/diesel I figured I'd be towing him in and emptying his tank.
Not so!
The boat ran fine, no smoke, no sputtering, no loss of power, no fouled plugs. Other than the exhaust smelled like an oil lamp for a couple days, no problems at all.

 

Yea iv done that before when i didnt have any gas and a low tank, but it was mabey 4 gall of diesel to 12 of gas. Ran just fine, the 2 strokes dont mind it, i even did it with the old dirt bikes. I geuss its just like mixing the 2 stroke oil in.

 

I suppose it wouldn't work so well in a 4 stroke engine. Really suprised me that it ran flawlessly on 50% diesel though.
