New GM Heavy Duty Trucks - More power
GMs new offerings will have an updated body and more power than before. The standard 6.0L gasser is 353hp/373tq thanks to VVT technology. The Duramax goes to 365hp/660tq, even with all the new emissions crap on it.
With this new engine being advertised as the most powerful, and Ford coming out with the F450 with all the weight rating advantages and a competitive engine (on paper), seems DC needs to get in the game a bit more. The 6.7L Cummins will undoubtedly prove to be the best engine overall (reliability, longevity, competitive power), but it would be nice to have some bragging rights.

Well at least the powerful motor will still go in an ugly truck
Glad to see they are upping the power. That motor is getting stronger and stronger.
Dodge needs to offer some more options for people who are wanting to use these trucks as they were intended. Towing. I would say that the new Ford model will give them a kick in the pants, but I am going to guess that it won't matter since it hasn't in the past. Ford offers some nice towing options on their trucks. If they had a better motor I wouldn't mind owning one.

My first choice was going to be the Ford TowBoss 350. My friend at the ford dealer who works on them told me to buy the GMC or Dodge. Maybe in the future when my truck has done its time I'll consider trying out the Ford if they get rid of all the problems with the new 6.4. But for now I have to admit I'm real happy with my GMC.
