Well, it worked for the Mustang back in the 60's...

Whip people up into a frenzy and it will sell.

I just got back from a cruise in one. 08 F 450 nice truck overall for the looks. It wasnt really as quite as everyone said. It was a little quieter than the 6.0l. Doesnt have the super response they say it should, pulls out just like the 6.0 mabey a half second faster but still has the couple second lag in response. Boost guage only only went up to about 25lbs, heard they were suposed to hit close to 40, but i dont no. Hopefully this one holds up better for my friend, his 6.0 was blowin head gaskets once a month.

Well International keeps puttin out these engines and then Ford is de-tuning them for what ever reason, I guess that is what messed up the 6.0 and now they did it again with the 6.4. I it was realesed from International at 400hp and Ford fubared it too 350??????????

Also fubar means fould up beyond all recognition.

Speaking of commercials, am I the only one that hates that Ford commercial with the guy pulling the semi truck out who's stuck in the tunnel so that the ambulance can get through? I mean, sure, if the semi can't push itself out of the tunnel, then the pickup is sure going to be able to pull it out.

And a smart truck driver would have started letting air out of the tires to get out of that tunnel.
They also edited that commercial and the part they don't show is that the Ford blew a head gasket and 2 injectors from that little bit of work...

Phil:

Yeah, I saw two (2) of their new commercials last night. The one of the engine going together by "computer enhancing" was pretty neat.

"dieselrob" I thank you for your early driving evaluation of the 08'.

My understanding is there exists a large number of '08 trucks at the factory unable to leave, do to something being...wrong...

I had to see anyone have the trouble Navistar & Ford have with these two engines...
