New Ford Commercials-I had to laugh!!
Speaking of commercials, am I the only one that hates that Ford commercial with the guy pulling the semi truck out who's stuck in the tunnel so that the ambulance can get through? I mean, sure, if the semi can't push itself out of the tunnel, then the pickup is sure going to be able to pull it out.

Does anyone else see something wrong with Ford going to compound turbos but retaining their garbage VG turbo? Since the VG turbo surged really bad before why keep it? If you're running compounds why would you want a VG in there anyway, you shouldn't need it. It's just more repair expense when something breaks(which you know it will). Also, I hope they have different head gaskets on the new ones because if they couldn't take the single turbo they sure aren't going to like the compounds.
With the way the powerstrokes run it's no wonder Ford makes front tow hooks standard equipment.

The "small" turbo is quite a bit smaller.
We take a turbo from a class 8 and install it as a big turbo to enhance airflow potential (and hence hp support). You could just as easily take a stock CTD turb and install it on a Class 8 as the "small" turbo to eliminate the black smoke that many large trucks have when the first take off.
The latter is similar to the emissions strategy that Ford and others are employing.
