New Diesel owner here...saying hey.

I just bought a 94 Dodge 3500 CTD, 4x4, reg cab, 108000 miles, camper top. This is my first diesel, and man am I happy. Ive always wanted one, and found this one on Craigs List. Im in Murfreesboro, TN, but the truck is from Wisconsin, so it has a bit of the ole Michigan Lace (rust) on her. I plan to get her in better shape tho. Just wanted to say hey, and I hope I can learn a lot here.

Alex

Congrats on the truck and welcome to DTR, the best diesel site around. You in for a fun time, the guys here are the best. When something comes up don't be afraid to ask for help or give advice.

Get ready to watch your money go bye-bye. Try to get up with the boys down there in Tennessee, I can't remember the chapter number but look it up. Also if you can find him, the guy who turned me on to diesel power was Mark Harris and does a few upgrades in the area over in Bethpage. Good luck on the truck.

also, what's the deal with the 12v??? Is it just a certain niche that people like, or is there really something special about it?

12v > *.

I think the thing about the 12v is its pure simplicity and the insane amount of power that it can make and still be a daily-driveable truck.
