NEW ARP 155 psi rod/bolts, stronger than L19!
11/29/07
Today was a beautiful day. I just got off the phone with one of the ARP techs.
Next week they are going to release a new material which if far stronger than the ARP2000's and even tougher than the L19's. They told me that they are officially recommending to torque these studs down to 155psi. They are not black like, but more of a polished steel look. Remember this post by Don M about how strong the regular ARP2000's were? I asked the guy if he though these would be stronger under load than the 14mm studs and he said...easily.

Based on how strong the 2000's were and how they put on a margin of safety I can't wait to see Don do the same test on the new one's commin.
They are pricey, but hey I just got done fixing my latest greatest blown gasket and it cost me 2g's just to fix that alone. Make those studs look cheap compared no more blown gaskets.
Complete kit: kit #2474204 price $1424.17 to buy direct from ARP

Are you talking about the Custom Age 625 studs?
If so, these are somewhat old news. DDP has these in stock if you want to go with them.
Also, your lead post refers to rod bolts, so that's probably why no one's responded to this-- I'm getting the impression you meant head studs.
