So a question I have is, Can the engine run on just the bio part of the biodiesel? Sorta like engines set up to run on WVO?

There is a place here in Phoenix that sells b100 and after running down about a 100 miles of a full tank of petro, I top off with bio. Makes the engine run quiet and smooth. Last time I was in there a guy was filling his 04 Jetta up. He said he was getting 28 gpm driving in town. My figures don't change.

It can but most folks notice a power drop and poorer fuel economy with more than 20% (B20) BD.

Why use it if he is getting 28 Gallons per mile (gpm). Are you sure its not 28 miles per gallon?
