Talking My Turn!!!!

Before anyone asks, "Where are the pics, I need someone to tell me how to put them in for approval. All I have pictures of are the rig and how he was stuck.

Today at work my son called and told me to bring my truck and show some guys how a Dodge could pull. It seemed a KW with a trailer load of bark was stuck on the school playground. Needless to say I jumped at the opportunity and after arrival I talked with the driver about his weight and he said the tractor and empty trailer weighed in a bit over 37,000 and his total with load today was over 68,000. He had dumped maybe half of his load already so I am guessing he weighed in somewhere around 51,000 to 55,000 lbs.

I hooked my nylon tow/recovery strap up, took out the slack then put it into 4 Lo and put it into 1st gear, I let out on the clutch and moved 3 or 4 feet when my son and another guy hollered Stop! The nylon strap was starting to stretch and I can't recall if it is rated for 20,000 or 30,000 lbs. After assuring them that the strap was supposed to stretch I again let out on the clutch gave it a little throttle and pulled the tractor and trailer out so he could finish dumping his load.

The driver then told me he was going to have to buy himself a Dodge! Of course I have a big grin on my face every time I think about it.

Oh and my truck is stock!

Ok, thats awsome, you win.... If you were on soft ground, its even a more impressive feat. I have a 4x2 so I'm limited to what I can attempt. You wouldnt happen to know the weight limitations for two 20' 3/8" chains? Thats what I lug around in the back of my truck should the need arise.
