Thanks guys.
It's completly different what automakers are trying to do today.
IHMO if a car has 4x4 but not able to go offroad, it's just for GIRLS!

I noticed that there's problems with my picture blog, so try this alternative to see those dangel photos here:

I already took the doors off, today I'll take the whole front sheet metals and maybe windows. After I'll get the tranny and transfer case installed I'm starting to prepare it for new nice green paint! Inside and outside. Engine compartment included so no one ever notices it has been that UGLY white.

Haahaa I bought my seventh Peugeot. I have six 504's and now one brown ugly 505. I gave a nickname to that 505. Turd. I hope you understand why

I'm just going to take a 2.3 original turbodiesel out of it. It has 516000km on clock. Engine rebuilt 100000km ago. Runs really smooth. Much smoother than my 2.5 liter turbodiesel. But then again. This is a real dog... It's not pretty fast. But then again it has automatic tranny behind it. I'm changing it to 5 speed when putting to my Dangel. This thing has Bosch VE pump so tuning it up is an easy job! Even though this does not have an intercooler and is not going even to get one, I'm still turning up the boost a little bit. Let's just say to a 10-15psi.

Here's a picture of the ugly one(not the Dodge):

Here's my current Peugeot lineup.
From left to right. 82 505 turbodiesel automatic, 74 gas automatic, 78 gas automatic, 72 originally diesel but now 2 liter gas historic rally car, my parents ex 78 GLD what we have had for 30 years, now it's mine. It's going to be restored 100%. Then there's the 76 turbodiesel seen in the video and the Dangel on it's current condition!

Hey guys!

Still keen to hear some more about my 504's?

As you know, I bought the Dangel station wagon.

It's been dissambled allmost to it's bare body shell, literally.

There have been an unbelievable amount of sheet metal work caused by those african people or so who owned it previously.

A lot of urethane, fiberglass, paper, wood, sheet metal pieces and even tin foil+ plastic filler. Oh yeah, and some glue.

Also the paint was horrible. There were three layers of paint, original white, lime green what still was visible on the doors and insides of the a,b,c and d pillars.

But no more!

The car went trough on expensive 1700 usd soda blasting where everything was blasted to it's bare metal without damaging or heating up the steel. Not like sand blasting.

Now there is no that fugly paint left!
And it was very good decision to do so. The rear mudguards where fixed with plastic filler and THE ROOF! Darn someone has drilled 4 holes on the roof and fixed with a filler.

I have been using a professional car sheet metal guy for the sheet metal work on the car because I want it right. Every shape is like they should be. I'm also going to fit 235/85 R16 tires under it. I hope they fit. If it needs a little bit trimming, it's easy to do now because it's on it's bare metal. I took 4 235/85 R16 tires off from my friends 2wd 3500 Dodge Dually and I'm going to put the tires on the Dangel rims to see if they have any hope. But at least what I measured I think it can be done. Those tires are allmost 33" tall

And I'm going to buy a Hankook mud tires under it on the same size if those tires fit.

The car is going to be the same metallic Peugeot green than my other 504's are. The rocker panels under the doors all the way around are going to be black painted with a bed liner kind of stuff, wheels, front fender flares, bumbers and the roof rack with extra lights and a spare wheel are also going to be the same black.

Anyway, take a look of the pictures and tell me what do you think!

That's really impressive what you have done with those cars and the engines. Makes me wish I had a garage to do that kind of thing myself.

is it true you have to use special paint after using soda? I heart normal paint has a hard time sticking to metal after being soda blasted?

Thanks guys for your comments!

It might need a special paint if directly sprayed over the soda layer. But at least what I have been told you was the soda of with warm 50/50 water and vinegar and then it's like any other bare metal.

I hope I can get those tires under it!

Yeah I saw that! I'm driving like a president! From Iran

Here's few pics how those tires fit under my 504! They actually fit!

We also bottomed it out with only 1700lbs!

Go and check your dodges... with the actualy riding height with all the crap in the lowest point of the rocker panel is 60cm /23.6" from the ground!
