My life long question...
My life long question...
Through out my entire life, in every manual car i've driven or been in i've asked my self one question....WHY the crap do manuals not have tachometers and autos do...I've only see one manual with a tach...

I believe it is because on many cars the tach is an option, and those who purchase a manual trans car frequently do so for price, thus fewer options installed. However most who purchase an auto want more of the comfort options and thus it is more widely available.
My base model saturn has a tach with the manual trans by the way...

When I was a kid and Muscle cars were all the rage, Virtually ALL of the Chevy's and Pontiacs had a tach if it was a 4 spd but no tach if it was a slushbox.
Maybe the guys who buy the Eurostyled crap that passes for automobiles these days like to think they're getting a fast car. I get a laugh every time I'm in the Sonic and some highschool kid goes through with his flatulence muffler and thinks it's so fast and cool. Yeah it's a real screamer, 4 cylinders at 1200 CC's and a front wheel drive that's really unsafe in rain and snow. A real Liberals idea of a supercar. Give me a break!
Just once I'd like to drive my dually over one of those.
