I have a great uncle that bought a 94 5 speed brand new. He runs a dairy, and that truck is still running good today. Frame is fine. He has run it through countless fields, and hauled many a load with it. No problems yet.

He is torn between the two. He likes the Ford because it feels faster, but loves the feel of the cummins though.

So, what would you do?

Umm.. you're on a dodge forum asking that question?

This is my first diesel truck. I didn't know which to get either. I found this and some other boards for Dodge,Chevy and Ford. I didn't ask much I just read a lot. It was real easy to make the choice after doing this. Obviously I chose the Dodge and that was because both Ford and Chevy owners were doing an aweful lot of complaining about their trucks.

Dodge frames are plenty strong. The 03 and newer trucks are really strong with the hydroformed frame-- also more rigid.

The frames won't tweak unless seriously abused, hacked, or rusted to dust.

So have you told him all the stuff we said on here? Or have you asked the same question on the Ford forums?? I'd be curious to hear what they have to say to defend Ford. Post em up!
