Muffler broke...sounds awesome..ha.

So my truck is from Wisconsin with plenty of that beautiful lacey stuff we call rust. (im from E. TN). Well, some time yesterday I noticed that my truck was a bit louder and whistled like crazy. (94 DRW CTD 4x4) Sure enough, the exhaust piping about a foot in front of the muffler broke completely through...So I just took it all the way off..it still exits behind the cab, but not much...Sounds awesome too! ha ha...

Just thought Id share. I dont really want to spend money on this truck cuz its kinda not worth it, but it only had 108K mi when I bought it so it will run forever, and I got a killer deal on it. Its kinda rusty tho, so Ill probably just keep it, then swap the motor into something cool like an offroad rig, another dodge that needs a 12v, or somethin....

Your muffler did not break. These trucks are not only better than Fords, sometimes they are better than people. Your truck knew it was time for a strait pipe to be installed, and since it is also a user friendly truck, it is doing it's part to help you with this long awaited project. My truck actually smiled when it's muffler was removed.

Do what I did go to an auto shop and buy pipe and run it right out the rear end, cost me $80 bucks for a 4in pipe 10 foot long vs $800 for one.
