Got a couple of questions about this engine, 1- When temp is 20*-35* engine starts fine but oil smokes exessively until it warms up, at operating temp it does not smoke. when outside temp is 40*+ it starts fine and only smokes a puff of oil.

No oil in turbo outlet pipe, not sure of the exhaust side- have not removed the pipe yet. Are the rings worn or is it the valve guides? I'm suspicious of the rings cause it has a good bit of blow-by out of the tube.

2nd- when at operating temp if you take off from a dead stop with WOT it will miss on one cylinder until I let off just a bit or truck gets up to 20mph.

It has a Zexel? inline pump with a lift pump driven off the rear of the alternator. Fuel and filters are good, no water and engine has normal power exept for the miss at take off.
Engine is in a 99 Mitsu/Fuso FH flatbed dump chassis with 185,000 miles on it.

Does anyone know an online source of info about these engines? Or will I have to buy a FSM from Mitsubishi? Thanks.
