At the 12th of Febr MAN will present a new 430 hp inline 6 cyl diesel engine for trucks. The engine block is said to be made of compacted graphite iron ( CGI) and it is turbofeeded.

MAN

MAN had already built 4000 engines with common-rail technology in 2003, which underlines its experience in series production using this injection process.

Altogether MAN produced 72,000 engines in Nuremberg in 2003; turnover totalled about € 1 billion.
With 3100 employees MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, Business Unit Engines, is the largest industrial operation in Nuremberg.

 

I know they have a lot of engines running in busses and semi tractors. I've went aboard a yacht in Savannah last year that had twin MANs for prime power and a Cummins for generator power (an ISB).
