Lucas fuel additive question

Anybody using Lucas fuel additive in there truck ? Wife works at a Petro truckstop in Beaumont and they sell Lucas everything. She gets a great discount on oil, filters and oilchanges, The big rigs use this alot too, 1 gallon of this treats 400 gallons of fuel. Thanks

Re:Lucas fuel additive question

I don't know about the Fuel additive but, I tried there tranny additive and I must say I was very disapointed. I didn't notice any difference at all.

Re:Lucas fuel additive question

I tried it. No descernible difference to me. The only one I've tried that make a noticable difference in fuel mileage is Power Service's "Diesel Kleen".

Re:Lucas fuel additive question

I use approx 2.5oz of Lucas in EVERY tankfull.
I do it for the lubricity not to attempt to improve milage.
In the winter I also add approx 6oz of Howes Diesel-Treat to prevent gelling.
Overkill? ???
Maybe.
I think it's helping the lift pump live a little longer,
That's all I need to know. ;D

I have tried Lucas before too. Didn't notice a difference anywhere. I think it lubes the pump well. It's thick, Kinda like 5W-30 motor oil.

Thanks for the reponse I have used it and was just wondering if anybody notice a difference that used it. I also agree on the lubricity for the pump also.

Re:Lucas fuel additive question

I have had to fuel up a couple of time on road trips when I neglected to bring my "Juice" with me.
The Diesel clatter is noticeably louder to me without the additive.
After dumping in my additive of choice, it usually takes about a day 'til I notice the clatter has quieted down again.
