General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

I never realized you could mod TDI's enough to roll coal! This would be sweet.... besides that hideous flex-pipe stack, itsa pretty cool car. I was lookin at some other vids of em online, and the turbo sounds awesome in these cars with an exhaust system, too. All that, as well as 50+ mpg.

That guy's a moron. Anybody can stand on the brake and the throttle at the same time. But, yes, VWs can be bombed and really move.

Now, if he gets some lumber stacked on top, some steer horns on the front and remove the muffler, he might have something.

Oh, and remind me not to buy that car from him.

This guy tried........... but failed.

http://www.snopes.com/photos/automobiles/lumber.asp

In addition to the lumber on top, he had ten 80 pound bags of cement in the back seat.

Guesstimated weight of the entire load ....... 3,000 pounds.
He loaded it himself after the Home Depot manager in Waldorf, Md made him first sign a waiver.

He stated he was on his way to Annapolis, Md. (about 2 hours away)
He made it about a block before the load shifted, and the rear shock top mounts came through the sheetmetal.

Shovel,

I've seen that classic picture and wondered if it was true or not. Just unbelievable. Beyond belief.

Wish I could have been there to watch the whole deal.

My Wife had an 06 TDI. That little guy smoked pretty good once I removed the EGR.
