My girlfriend just purchased a new 2003 VW Jetta TDI and I told her I would be willing to change the oil and fuel filter for her instead of taking it to the dealer. <br><br>A few questions since the manual sucks!:<br><br>1. Where in the world is the oil filter located?<br>2. Where's the fuel filter? Is it easy to change?<br>3. Is the fuel system self priming?<br>4. How do I drain the water seperator?<br>5. What's kind of oil do I use??? Syntheic or Dino?<br>6. Any grease fittings, looks like everything is sealed up?<br><br>Any help would be much appreciated? She just got it yesterday, so I've got awhile to research all of this before the first oil change. She has a 90 mile drive to and from work everyday, so 45-50 MPG is looking pretty good!<br><br>

my mom has a 97 tdi so I can't help on specifics (my buddie picked up a 2002 he says it's different under the hood then hers)<br><br>all I can help with is oils choice .........you are suposed to use 5w40 synthetic cg-4 or better .........mobil devlac 5w40 is your best choice IMO (the castrol syntec 5w40 that you can only get through vw dealers is crap IMO, it only meets the CD spec acorrding to the api symbol on it ??? , I don't know why vw sells it, it doesn't even meet their specs) ..........<br><br>my mom has 230,000 trouble free km's on her car, she loves it <br><br><br><br><br>
