IT'S NOT just Harris county. All counties that border Harris are now non-attainment counties such as Brazoria, Fort Bend, Chambers, Montgomery, Waller, Liberty and I think Galveston too.
FYI
non-attainment area is any area that does not meet the federal air quality standard because of exceedances of any of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards for the six criteria pollutants. which are carbon monoxide, lead, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, particulate matter, and sulfur dioxide

Yes, I'm well aware of that. Check my post - is that better?

My fault I did not see the adjoining counties when I first posted it.
So I was not cracking on you I was just stating the other counties for everyone to see.

Interesting that you would be that high, my truck in sig consistently tests at 4-5% opacity (dyno test) I would be legal up to 30% I would be embarrassed to drive a 30% truck

According to the test paperwork, the opacity limit for my truck is 40%, and my truck tested at 18%.

Perhaps the electronically controlled ISB motors run inherently cleaner than a 6BT with the largest stock IP available.

Or maybe there are differences in the emission tests. We test on a dyno and then do a snap test, which as I understand is what gets most guys with fuel mods.

At any rate, if you can make more power without significantly increasing the amount of particulates that you are emitting, have fun. The guys billowing big black clouds of death and fogging out the road are obviously not doing that.

I like to see a diesel blow a black cloud as mush as anyone but I belive it has its place. I like to keep my smoke at the local dragstrip and their is nothing better that a sled puller looking like an old coal fired powerplant.
