Interesting fuel mileage
With the onset of cooler weather I've noticed just how much the a/c affects my mileage. Normally, I get between 450-500 miles per tank local driving with the a/c. The fuel light came on yesterday at 630 miles. The most miles I've every gotten out of a tank has been during the fall/winter driving season on a trip from Alabama to Ohio. On that trip I got 708 miles from a single tank of fuel. Currently the truck is set to stock programming with the Smarty, stock air filter and exhaust, Airraid Jr. and a TAG. I added a quart bottle of Diesel Kleen (silver) to the tank at fill up. Right now I'm going to run with the thought 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

I ve gotten 600 miles out of my tank on 2 occasions . And that was overall,city/hiway .Didn t do anything difffor that to happen . The only thing I can guess is maybe it was where I filled up at . But , I ve been there afterwards and then proved that theory wrong .
I ve had my milege go from one extreem to another with no explanation . I ve gotten 21 mpg on a tank once and got all excited , only for it to go down on the tank . I average 15.5-16.5 on a stock 05 2500 w/6spd stick and 373 gears w/stock tires

I get consistant 18 mpg on mine around town even with air. Last Sunday I did 672 miles before I got nervous and filled back up (35 gal but I stoke the pipe too) running highway between the beach a VA Tech. I was drivin it like i not only stole it but was being chased that woks out to around 19 mpg. best I've gotten was with a qt of 2 cycle round trip to richmond where every other turn around had radar and I never saw the high side of 65mph. Calculated out at 24.7 MPG but that doesn't happen often, I've got a bad throttle return spring and the pedal just seems to fall to the floor all the time.
