ok i got a injection pump. p7100 and front cover and lift pump from a 8.3L cummins, what do i need to do to get the injection pump to work with the 5.9 such as governor and what ever else i may need to change in the pump? thanks.

 

This should be in the 94-98 section...thats where the P-pumpers are

My guess is... 8.3L pump is gonna be hard to make work.

 

pump may be a pain as stated, also get lines, pump to block brackets, oil line for pump, it tee,s off vacuum pump line. hopefully you got the grear housing,not just cover. lines to and from fuel filter/ lift pump too. they cost alot to buy. ive done the conversion, not too hard using dowells to hold lifters. you need to cut away some lifter gally insulation as well on the side of the block. i had a complete donor motor, alot cheaper and easier. after doing swap i actually changed back to ve pump. you also need injector lines and p-pump injectors, or at least bodies.

 

i did not grab the pump to block brackets, i will grab those today. ill have to see if i can find the oil line for the pump, i got the gear housing, i got the line from filter to the pump but left the line from the lift pump to the filter housings, ill have to grab that as well today. how come you ended up switching back to the ve?
