Hmm...

Is that "sport" sticker on the hood any indication of what half of the year it was made in?

I think that a close-up of the badge would reveal the true nature of the beastie, right?

If it was a true "Sport" wouldn't it only have decals and not emblems on the side? Also, wouldn't the grill and bumpers be body color?

I did a KDP for a guy with a '98 12v, it had a "Cummins Turbo Diesel" badge on the right and a "24 Valve Turbo Diesel" badge on the left. Came from the factory that way. I guess they ran out of badges before they ran out of motors.

The 98 sports didn't always have body coloured bumpers and grills , some did , such as this one ( except it is not the same as the newer sports):

That one is actually at the same place , and it too is a 24v, and Interesting that you mention it Dave , i looked at the green truck pictured above , and it has a "cummins turbo diesel" badge on the passenger door , and "cummins 24 valve diesel" on the driver side.

And for anyone who said it was a 24v , go buy yourself a cookie as a reward , because it is.

Sounds pretty pricy for a 24V

for a CTD , up here , in can $ , that price is reasonable especially with the low miles on it, but not spectacular. These trucks are worth alot of money up here.

I saw a 91 go for 12K about a month ago.

16,500 CDN for a 98 low k CTD isn't bad but it had better be loaded and very clean. FWIW, there are loaded 98 Quad cabs for that price around here but they usually are over 200k.

I'd be interested in one of those 98 quad cabs , if it was 12v...

And 16 500 is actually on the lower side of a good price for the atlantic provinces , these things are like gold.

a 98 quad cab with a 12v ( i know of one in atlantic canada) Is going for 20 000$ 300+k on it if i remember right. and it needs some cosmetic work , and there are multiple oil leaks under it.

i see 94's , basic , with 300K on them going for 12 500...
