Is this a good deal/truck?

I would like to say that this is my first post and I'm glad to have found such a forum.

I own a small business and need a work truck.....recently decided to go diesel. I wasn't sure if I wanted a Ford, Chevy or Dodge but I'm leaning towards a Dodge after research. At this point, I just need to find a good deal. Anyway, I go to a local dealership and he has a 1998 Ram 3500, 24 v Diesel, 4x4, Dually, Sport Package, black in color. Truck has 135,000 miles and he's asking $13,900. Good price? Seems like many prefer the 12v over the 24v? Some have had issues with a certain block? I don't want to take the plunge if this year and engine have a bad rep. Love to hear any thoughts on year and what to look for when viewing! I did start it while there but couldn't test drive.

drive it, make sure it dosnt have a 53 block, check the fuel pressure and see if its throwing any codes! That would be a big part of the decision if it was me...

Rexx. 135,000 mi is low mileage for a Cummin's. And if it is a 53 block there is no guarantee that the block is bad.
Have it checked at a reputable shop, the dealer is not always trustworthy. What ever way you go , welcome to the site and good luck with your truck search.
