Our VFD at home runs one of those as a tanker. Originally had a tractor muffler on it, that got pulled and replaced with a straight stack. Sounds awesome running down the road.

And the winch on the front will move a mountain assuming you can keep the truck in place. Not to hijack or anything, but does anyone know where one might be able to find some info on the winch and proper operation?

We had a 2-1/2 ton like that at the fire dept. at one time. You were required to wear ear plugs in it due to the turbo whistle.

If you want any info on them things then you need to talk to these people. They are about four blocks down the street from my shop. Thats all they do is refurb and sell those things and parts for them.

I've got one of those in my garage as well as a 6.7. I have to fire the Duece up to hear what a turbo diesel actually sounds like!

I have always wanted one. They seem to be pretty affordable. I've seen them for less than 5 grand with very few miles on them.

Great diesel sound. I just went on youtube and watched some videos on the Duece. Just watched the videos for a little bit and now my ears are ringing from that turbo sound! I gotta say I wouldn't want my turbo to be THAT loud.

Used to drive those things...don't remember the motor but it had a 5-speed in it with a weird shift pattern. Just remember to not put your thumbs inside the steering wheel or you will lose them if the front tires hit a rut. Now the 5-ton I stepped up to had a Cummins in it!
