I think banks makes nice stuff, but $2000.00 for exaust, gauges, 14mm housing & a K&N (8 years ago) was a bit steep. It was an impressive upgrade tho.

I have no problem with companies that are successful and make money. I never said anything about that. Please reread my post and find where I said there was anything wrong with making money and being successful.

I have had friends who used Banks and later switched to other products. I learned from their mistakes. They never had any problems with Banks just the performance you get for the price you pay isn't on par with some others. Please reread my analogy. I never once mentioned any problems. What you failed to gather from my analogy is that its all about perceived value, its all about getting the best bang for the buck.

As for the barack and hillary comment. That made me the mad. How dare you insinuate that I would ever vote for either of them! I made absolutely no comment at all in my post that would lead you to believe that I was anti capitalist or of any other political orientation. Your comment was very unprofessional and does not follow the intent of this forum.
first, insinuating that any level headed person would vote for hillary or barack was uncalled for, but i was trying to make a point about the rediculousness of this whole banks thing. you still have not mentioned what banks products your friends used. for most people, it was the six gun that they removed, and if that's the case, then just say the six gun was a bad move for people looking for big hp, looking to stack, or who don't like the built in safeguards. i've gotten almost a dozen pm's to date from people looking to add one banks product or another, and more than a few have said they don't want to post a thread about their questions because they don't want to deal with being made out to be stupid or uninformed because they're considering a banks product. many who rip banks on this forum, also make mention of the big $$$ that they make- that's what successful companies do, and his big advertising $$$ helped to start magazines like diesel power and help the diesel community, by having shows like trucks, truck u, and 4x4 tv finally start to devote some airtime to aftermarket diesel mods. i have no personal interest in whether anyone uses banks products or not, but i do appreciate that they did have stuff like well made and easy to install exhaust systems for my old ctd's, when choices were slim and quality and fit were poor.

As said before, this one has definatly ran it's course. How dare some of you insult others... it's their opinion. Feel free to disagree with it in a fair, GROWN UP manner, not the childish manner shown here.

Those of you that were out of line, you have a PM coming from me. Insulting other members WILL NOT be tolerated on this forum.

Those of you that kept it civil, thank you. Please feel free to discuss and disagree on whatever you like (within the forum rules) as long as you remain grown up and respectful of other members.

Thanks, and have a GREAT DTR night.

Madhat
