You should modify the poll to give an option for over 3 US$/gal and one over 4 US$/gal. Then I could participate in earnest

I don't know if it's the price of crude, home heating oil, or the oil company jerks, but diesel north of Dallas has taken a big jump the past few days. It looks like they may be jacking up the diesel to keep from going up on regular gas. Where I was paying $1.629 a couple of weeks ago is now $1.729. One Texaco here in town was $1.839!

It's amazing how they blame it on crude prices and at the same time report record profits.

This may be a stupid question, but wouldn't home heating oil be barely selling in mid summer? Or is that when people stock up? I live in a hot climate so I have no idear. Personally, I think it's just greed. 'Round here, Diesel is still $2.00+/gal and is typically anywhere from 10¢ to 20¢ more than regular unleaded gasoline. It's priced between the "Plus" and the "Premium" grade gas, and in some cases, more than Premium.

And I thought that buying a diesel was going to SAVE me money... @ 12mpg and over $2.00/gal I guess the joke was on me!

Diesel hasn't changed much here over the last few weeks.. $1.68, and $1.79 for B20 at the nice pretty store in the high rent district, $1.69 for B20 at a store that's pretty much out of my way by about 10 miles.

Up here se're sitting at about USD 1.78/gallon which isn't too bad I suppose. On our trip to Florida in June the cheapest diesel we found was in Kentucky at 1.58/gallon, wish I would've had a tanker truck to fuel up there!

Paid $1.609 down here in good ol' College Station, Tx. It has gone up only 10 cents since the first of the year, so it's fairly steady. Regular unleaded is running around $1.84+. God I love driving a diesel....

It had been steady all year, but went up to $1.83 a couple of days ago, then $1.86 yesterday. Still cheaper than what my gasser with a pcm, i.e. requiring 93 octane, is.
