Fuel prices
Not to put a damper on the Holidays but just wanted to let you know that two of the three refineries in my neck of the woods will be doing shutdowns for maintenance the early part of 2009.
With oil below $40 a barrel profits get really small so the oil companies do their maintenance so they don't cut into profits. With low barrel costs they go further into maintenance and shut down longer, this cuts production to the steady demand and increases costs at the pump.
Just a heads up.

I paid $1.89.9 for it yesterday. I don't drive the truck much, but that is my first fillup below $2/gallon for a long time. Wish it would stay like that for the summer. We could do some cool vacations with the 5er.
Tell me! I did about 3400 miles this past summer with my 5er and fuel running $4.70 on average. OUCH, that wiped out any trips I wanted to due in the fall. Fuel here is still $2.37 or better where I find it.
It might be an interesting year in 2009... I don't think we will see fuel prices go quite as high this year, as the economy can't take it. Not just our economy, the worlds economy. But I have been wrong , numerous times before....

You do what you got to do, I guess. I went 18000 miles this summer pulling a trailer and paying up to 6 dollars a gallon for fuel. Now fuel is 2.35 here and we are sitting at home (I guess waiting for it to go up again) to go.
