It just goes back to my point is if it's happening on several trucks from what I hear how did it not happen on the same truck they tested for many many miles....and how could they just let it slide by to the general public.

Not trying to defend Ford but it would be easy to not have this prob in testing. Common 3 trucks out of 8K, I think they only tested 600. Its really easy for us to sit back and point fingers and ask how they missed that but if it didn't happen on the trucks you tested could we have known that it might do that. It is ironic that it is a Power Joke that has the probs though. I Love to give Ford guys a hard time because they get real defensive but know one could have seen this coming. P.S. Keep the jokes coming I am sending a link to a Ford friend, but he will admit that the Cummins Is a better engine, He just wont by a Dodge to get one and I can't hardly blame him. My brother-in-law's new 07 Mega Cab 3500 4x4 with every factory option available had the 4x4 switch and the A/C go out less than a month after he got it. In TEXAS no A/C can on a brand new truck is a hanging offense. Mine hasn't worked for years but it didn't cost almost 60K ether. Its poke fun at Ford but I realy do feel bad for the pour guys that have those trucks.

I used to be one, and I know what it was like to be given a hard time. I defended myself well, but I knew when they brought up valid points that I knew I couldn't proove that I wasn't going to try.
I feel bad for anyone driving a 6.4 with those flames.

On one hand I feel somewhat sorry for guys with the 6.0 and now the 6.4
On the other hand I feel vindicated for buying a Cummins. It really had nothing to do with Ford, Chevy or Dodge. It has to do with simplicity of design. When I try to understand what I'm looking at in an engine compartment like the 6.0 or now the 6.4, I know it's a darn rat's nest of possible problems. PERIOD.
Pop the hood on our Cummins, there's the valvecover, turbo, exhaust manifold, oil filter, fuel filter, etc.... Piece of pie...

I got some really cool video of the Garmen pro street 2wd sb at Rockingham at night last year. You can see a very bright glow exiting the stacks like two little orange blow torches. It made me think, how hard would it be to hook an extra injector into the exhaust and something to make a spark. Could be some fun flaming times... or fire extinguisher times.
