Last time I saw something like that it came from a 6.0 that ran somewhere in the 11's and he was on a dyno making a TON of power.

Wow, I never imagined it to be that bad. I was reading the article that was posted on here thinking to my self. Yea it's probley just a little puff here and there, boy was I mistaken. That sucker was roastin.

It reminds me of the Jay Leno bike w/ the jet engine in it. He was at a stop lite and the exuast was so hot it would melt the bumpers off of cars.

And the recall is just for an ECM flash that will kill the engine in case there is a high temp condition in the exhaust.... Talk about a bandaid...
Flames out of the tailpipe and your truck dies.... Good thinking FORD

There have got to be some engineers somewhere getting their buts chewed out for this...

I can see it now some Ford owner pulls his horse trailer near a barn full of horse and sets lose straw on the ground on fire and then the whole horse barn burns up!

Crikey! It was an ’08, did you see the tailgate? (That actually would be pretty cool at night. )

Obviously something was seriously wrong with that truck. For Fords sake I hope something like this is an isolated problem.

If that happens to even more than a handful of trucks and they start forest/barn/field or any other types of fires the humor of it all goes away in a hurry. You can’t even compare that to the hot catalytic converters of the 1980’s.

I can't believe that!! What was that about a 2' flame or better coming out of that? You can tell it's an 08' by the "don't modify the tailpipe" dual tip with the fins that are there to help cool the exhaust poo-poo and by the tailgate, the only truck with superdukie stuck on every body panel.

I went by two ford dealers today and it was weird, I did not see one single f250/f350 on either of their lots. Maybe I should have stopped and asked where the new trucks were with this awesome 6.4L and the James Bond package??

Everyone used to talk about the "Heated Tailgate Option" on the Fords. I guess someone was listening.
