I like this part, "None of the vehicles involved in this recall have experienced an abnormal number of fires". I'd think one would be considered abnormal considering fords track record with "the flame".

They like fires don't they? Hey, I have a 1995 exploder!!! I guess I'll have to let the Ford blue oval technician "deactiveate" my switch....you mean, unplug it?? Until parts are available. I love ford, such humor!!

Maybe the blue oval should be painted red

FORD just go away and die already.I mean really, how many problems and how much unsafeness does the public have to hear about until they finally wise up and buy something else. This has been beat to death but really, the 6.0,the explorer etc etc.People keep crawling back like pigs to a trough

This could be bad for Homeland Security. Instead of flying jets into buildings loaded with civilians, they can just buy a fleet of power jokes.

I guess it's a good thing that they are recalling these vehicles so that people and their vehicles don't go up in flames. But I'm just curious to how many people will be angry that they won't have cruise for 2 months

No cruise would have to be better than being woken up in the middle of the night with your ford burning in your garage. They could not have put the cruise switch on something else, I don't know, say......let me think......like on the darn brake pedal!!!!! Noooooo, let's put it on the master cylinder, for one another spot to leak fluid because we make seals so well, on the brake pedal, no fluid, no leaks.......sometimes it scares me that I, the simpleton can think of things such as this while......well you get the picture. Are they so educated that they become mentally blind??

I heard about this a couple years ago, maybe back in 2004 or 2005. This is either the same problem again, or the story is just reporting on old news.

Maybe they are claiming a normal number of fires and not publishing the number? Remember, from microslop, ... it's not a bug, it's a feature!
