friend of mine has a 99 7.3 powerstroke I have a 99 cummins, I get better mileage (my friend's blood is blue so he says it's worth the extra bucks to be able to drive a ford : )<br><br>bothe are nice trucks BTW but I think the cummins has a better track record IMO<br><br>

I don't drive diesels with more pistons than main bearings. And I don't drive diesels that lay their pistons down on one side of the cylinder under load. With the torque involved, can you say: "Out-of-round after 100,000 miles?" Or: "Lite doody." <br><br>GP

Anyone who tells you that you'll get better MPG and life out of a PSD is lying. I used to own a PSD. The only thing it may have better than a CTD is accelleration in a stock truck. That is an easy fix though.

I've seen one or two of his miles (sitting still even). ;D ;D<br>Check out the BMD Dyno day file on Members Photos if you have any doubts about the 5.9.
