Not everwhere in NC ftltmp, I live in Currituck County, which is right on the Outer Banks, and there is no emissions inspections there(even if there was, it really wouldnt matter, I dont have a cat on my gasser ), just the general inspection, which includes just looking at the cat, to make sure its there. They are going to implement a statewide obdII inspections before too long, they are just trying it out in cities right now, kinda like Greenville, which is where I'm going to school. You might just have to know somebody, or head out to the country, where there isnt emmisions inspections yet

 

there's no sniffer for diesels in TX... just a visual/safety. it's easy to find someone who doesn't care about the lack of a cat
