I don't know if I agree with the above statement. The 6.0L powerstroke for instance was a good engine that was successfully used in other vehicles by Navistar. It was the ford engine management that made the motor a POS. I think the potential for a greater overall truck is higher moving it to Nissan. My opinion.
I know 2 International dealers that I deal with that their mechanics have told me about the VT 365 not being a great engine. Their advice on engines in their trucks was to go with the DT-466. The VT-365 is the 6.0 powerstroke.

didn't Ford announce earlier this year that they will be doing in-house design on their next diesel engine for the Superduty...
aren't they are also doing the in-house on the soon to be released F150 diesel engine

that will ruin the nissan trucks. ford hasnt ever really built a good diesel I think. the 7.3 is a good engine it just has no power. the 6.0 & 6.4 are a joke no matter what you do to them. I see no power strokes around here win any pulls or drag races period. the cummins or the duramax dominates all the events
They are doing an inhouse diesel for the F150 I believe. But I also think I read they were sued by Navistar regarding it.. Something about breaching their contract.
