I don't know if I agree with the above statement. The 6.0L powerstroke for instance was a good engine that was successfully used in other vehicles by Navistar. It was the ford engine management that made the motor a POS. I think the potential for a greater overall truck is higher moving it to Nissan. My opinion.

there's many threads on this issue and the concensus is that the 6.0/365 vt was never trouble free in any application

I know 2 International dealers that I deal with that their mechanics have told me about the VT 365 not being a great engine. Their advice on engines in their trucks was to go with the DT-466. The VT-365 is the 6.0 powerstroke.

Ford owns the "Powerstroke" logo so they can call any diesel they put in their trucks a Powerstroke.

didn't Ford announce earlier this year that they will be doing in-house design on their next diesel engine for the Superduty...

aren't they are also doing the in-house on the soon to be released F150 diesel engine

if they offered a DT466 in a ford, i wont ever own a cummins again. probably one of the best motors ever built and alot of pulling tractor stuff to bolt on them.

As stated above, needs a 466 in it! Talk about some competition for the Cummins...

that will ruin the nissan trucks. ford hasnt ever really built a good diesel I think. the 7.3 is a good engine it just has no power. the 6.0 & 6.4 are a joke no matter what you do to them. I see no power strokes around here win any pulls or drag races period. the cummins or the duramax dominates all the events

They are doing an inhouse diesel for the F150 I believe. But I also think I read they were sued by Navistar regarding it.. Something about breaching their contract.

Wonder why Nissan wouldn't build their own motor?
I have owned a Nissan pickup and Pathfinder. Great vehicles but couldn't tow at all.
