The Differance in the PS additives
As far as the Power Service goes, the white (winter formula) and grey (warm weather) bottles are nearly identical.
Both give cetane boost and lubricity. The white has the anti gel additive. However in adding the anti-gel, it reduces the cetane boost effect a little.
When I was stationed in San Diego, I always used the grey bottle, year round. To me, it never got cold enough for me to use the white bottle.
You mentioned 3 different color bottles. One grey, one white, and the third I assume you saw is red. The red bottle from Power Service is sold as Diesel 911. If your fuel gels up, you add that to the tank and fuel filter housing and wait a few minutes. It "thaws out" the gelled fuel so you can get going again.
Hope this helps

i want to say the 3rd bottle was an oil additive but i didnt really read it to closly so i couldnt say for sure
hum i didnt see it there, i guess i'll have to look harder next time im there...hw much are you adding to a tank? 16oz?
Earlier this morning I went to the Poway WalMart to get a plastic container to soak a dirt bike air filter and noticed they had the 96oz jugs for $15.77 and the quart size for like $6.84. I use 16oz at fill-up.
Read the label, I think a bottle is good for 100 gallons. About 1/4 to 1/3 of that should be good for a tank.
Many people run 2cycle oil, especially with the 5.9 & ULSD. I think it is good to use all the time for lubricity. PS is really not a lube, but more of a detergent. Same with ULSD Diesel.

Their website says it does add lubricity.....http://powerservice.com/dk/
The web site says that it adds lubrcity; however, if you do a search on oil or 2 stroke, you will see some charts and discussion that say otherwise.
Since it does "Clean" fuel iinjectors, those types of compunds do not lubricate.
So, next to biofuel, which few have any access to, 2 cycle oil is a gereally recognized lube supplement. Many users say their trucks run quiter, smoother.
So, do some research, draw your own conclusion.

When we lived there (2001-2004), we lived in El Cajon. I always bout it at either the El Cajon/Santee walmart, or at Kragens. Either place should have it.
