I'm considering checking out an 02 HO (no 47RE thank you) in southeast NH. I'd like to take it to a local guru to check out before taking the plunge, since he'd know more about what to look for in a diesel than I would. I've been reading up on the Cummins for a few years, but have no first hand knowledge with one.

Northeast MA or southern ME would probably work, too if anyone knows a place there.

I am familiar with them. Personally. Tom Mahoney is one of the owners, altho he's not always available to talk on the phone. Alan works there and was my business partner when we built, sold and serviced fire apparatus. VERY knowledgable people about anything diesel and they are a Cummins authorized service center and dealer.

Tell Alan Scott told you to call and harrass him!

Thanks for the info, however, the truck I was interested in, an 02 HO 4x4 2500 qc with only 4,500 miles was sold. It would have looked nice in my driveway. I should have gone up on Tuesday when I had the time. My bad.

I'll keep the info you gave me handy, in case another one in that area pops up. Thanks again.
