That's a very interesting engine. It's too bad they had to make everything else on the bike weird. Now they not only have to sell a whole new engine design, but also a way different bike design too. Hard to be succesful doing that.

The Kawasaki KLR diesels that the military is using are neat bikes too. I'd love to have one of those.

A more realistic diesel motorcycle.
Approx 100 mpg.

Last e-mail from them stated a MSRP of ~$18,000.
According to them, the military is still claiming every one that comes off the assembly line.

April 21, 2006 - Due to increased production requirements for our military motorcycles, HDTUSA has had to delay production of our commerical models.

i was gonna say ive never converted mileage before but if i did it right that bike got very bad mileage. Something like 13 miles per .62 gallons. So somewhere around 20mpg not so happy Id love to take a ctd and make a HUGE trike. Obviously it couldnt be a motorcycle. id hate to ride it if it was. BUT as some kind of mutant trike. It would be cool You and your lady retire and haul your 5th wheel behind your trike haha

Sadly I wrote them and they are not producing them yet. Just one made and not available.
