Diesel and galvanized fuel tanks.
I seem to recall that you should not store Diesel in a galvanized tank.
Am I right or wrong.... have the 26 gallon galvanize in cab fuel tank on my '77 dodge that I am doing the Cummins conversion on. Hate to have to use the 15gal frame tank only.

Not sure about diesel, but they said never use galvanized anything for hydraulic use because the coating will flake into the fluid. Could be the same issue with diesel.

I just googled and this is the common thought" Do not store diesel fuel in galvanized containers because the fuel may dissolve the zinc coating, which can then remain in solution until deposited in the pump or injectors."
