I want to know what kind of diesel and trans would fit in a toyota 4runner. Or what would be a good swap for this type of unit. Any suggestions will help thanks......

No. my LC is a 2f 6-cyl gasser but I dream of one day importing a 3B 4-cyl diesel LC or the Inline 6-cyl diesels. Google search for them. if you need more help just PM me

The VW TDI motor would be underpowered for that application in my opinion. I would look at something small from Cummins or how about this?
Toyota Hi Lux diesel motor

Ive been wanting to put a cummins in it but Im thinking I would have to beef up the front end if I want to do that. I really dont want to go that route but will I have to do that anyways if I put a diesel in it. Its got the 3L V6 in it already.

No way...two completely different fuel and drivetrain systems. Sorry but it's going to be really hard to get parts for that engine here in the US if you can even find one.

Sound like a neat project, might want to do some google searching on it
