I hope he had something to brace it when he shut it down - the way they shake the trucks on shutdown you'd think it would flip the pallet over!

I watched a guy start a chevy 350 on a floor once... ... He thought he could straddle it and hold it down...

Long story short: it looked like cross between riding a rodeo bull and pro wrestling... Of course ending with him getting hurled across the shop against the wall...

I have started several v-8 engines on the garage floor, mostly junk yard engines, that were going to be installed, just to make sure of good oil pressure & no clouds of smoke. put crib blocks under each engine mount, & leave a little tension on the chain blocks. just don't rev them too high, or they get a little wild
