Just got my John Deere "The Furrow" magaizne today and I was reading on a new series of John Deere Self-Propelled Foeage Harvesters and the biggest model the 7800 comes with a Cummins QSX-15 with 640HP. The other 5 model comes with the John Deere 12.5 liter diesel rated from 415hp to 570hp.

Re:Cummins in a John Deere
Saw a JD 4020 in the heavy equipment trader a couple of months ago that said V-8 Cummins. Anyway it had dual stacks and said used for parades pulls and farming. Can you imagine the roost you would throw plowing with that thing. It was the only Deere I've ever seen that I actually fell in love with.

Re:Cummins in a John Deere
The Deere 8960 and 8970 came stock with the 855 Cummins, they had much better lugging ability than the deere engines, but the 8960 we had at work had a lot of injector probs, and smoked just terrible. I have seen a few Kinze repowered 8850's with the 1150 cummins in them, putting out like 450+ horse.
