Anyone have pics of their chrome 3rd gen wheels with their center caps painted black. I am thinking about painting my center caps black but i would like to see what they look like before i jump in headfirst. Also thinking about painting the chrome housings of my cab lights black as well.


This is what it looks like. Think it would look good with center caps painted black and those chrome cab lights painted black?

I saw that user Rod M painted his center caps red. If I was to paint mine how well does the paint stick. Would I have to worry about it flaking or chipping easily?

 

I say leave it like it is. The cab lights and stacks will look better since they are both chrome. Plus, I don't really like the look of the wheels being black and chrome. That's my two cents, but it's your truck, not mine.

Painting the center caps black would look ok...

Painting the entire rim would look even better...to match your bumper and grille...

Bigger tires would really set off your truck as well...

 

I agree on painting the entire rim and maybe leaving the center cap chrome and yes bigger tires would set it off i get that from everyone. However with the way my front end wears tires out I am not going to buy an expensive set of M/T's just for it to wear em out. I have to get it fixed first. But thanks for the input.
