Thumbs down CARB does it again...LevIII

Maybe it's time the American public votes California Air Resorces Board off the, well, planet. This is amazing, and would essentially BAN the diesel engine in California.

I am gonna laugh when everyone is crying about thier new electric cars they are forced to buy & drive. Or when they are crying because thier new cars barely run & get 50% of the fuel economy they should.

No, you can laugh when the car companies tell CA to get bent and not sell cars in the state! I can see them finall getting sick of messing with them and not building the car to meet their standards. It may take a little longer but seeing how they (car makers) are in a very touchy market, at some point they will price these new cars out of anyones price range. I will not buy a compact for more then I spent on my Neon in '05 (12K, and that was the end of year closeout price). It wasn't very "new car" like, but with the premium to have a "clean" car they price them at luxury car prices. Once that happens they will either go under or tell the bonehead politicians that make these laws what they really think.

With the taxes going up the way they are here (average of 8.75% sales tax... some counties as high as 9.75%... add in registration and VLF fees of $1200 a year on a $50k vehicle) and no one will be able to own a car but the rich... but frankly, I believe that is the way they want it anyhow.

I'm a weather wimp and will reside here until they price me out which isn't going to be long. The reality though is that this idiotic legislation tends to spread to other states. I've seen the improvement in air quality here that the gasser emission standards ushered in,but the assault on diesels, regardless of the economic impact is immoral.

Oregon's gov decided it would be a swell idea if Oregonians were ruled by California's CARB nuts...

Washington apparently followed suit.

Yea us guys out here earning an honest buck is doing it all in vain....to assert supposed "leaders" indeniably awful ideas. Like CARB. Just a reason to justify stealing more of our money.

I think I'm gonna start burying my money like the old days. Become a mountain man or somethin, live off the real fat of the land.

It's also posted here as well.

Well, The guy who first come up with the idea of global warming admitted his error years ago. He even explained what the flaws in his computer models were that caused the results to predict global warming. Everyone ignored him.
