Can you say HEMI?
Got my first kill today. Spankin new 05 2500 QC 5.7L. Nothin to be proud of but it felt good
I mean technically I've only got .2L on him
They should have brough back the real 426 hemi, that would be something to be proud of.
I bet he wishes he got a Cummins lol!

So, your truck-with everything in your signature, beat a HEMI that has 345 ponies? If your truck is indeed stock like your sig says, then I'll have to roll up my pants legs.......

No kiddin fella's. My basically stock truck wooped him.
I was waiting at the light to get on the highway and I saw him hauling up on me in hurry. I was ready to give him the Cummins wave when he stopped next to me and I saw the 5.7L. We made eye contact and it was awn. Maybe he wasn't racing but I was. We took off and I had him by a length after about 500 ft or so. I shut it down at the speed limit and he jumped over and went by, he didn't look over.
I'm pretty sure his feelings were hurt. His truck couldn't have been more than a couple weeks old. Maybe he was babying it, whatever, either he pussed out or his truck did.
As for the 5spd, I've been driving sticks all my life, I can shift fast

The new big block Hemi is the 6.1L. 425hp. Can find that engine in the SRT-8 version of the LX platform (300C, Magnum and Charger).

I wonder how I couldn't loose?
Look at the numbers:
5.7L hemi 340HP @ 5600 and 375 lb-ft @ 4400.
5.9L 24V 235HP @ 2700 and 460 lb-ft @ 1600.
Can someone explain to me what exactly HP affects? Or how it works with torque? The Cummins out matches the Hemi in torque but lacks in HP. When I raced him, we left the line at almost the exact same time, I was slipping the clutch hard and started to pull away immediatley. It seems that the Cummins puts the power to ground faster.

But remember this.... those are just an artists renderings. It may (PROBABLY) never return....
