I'd rather hit myself in the head with a hammer than think it would be better to pull the cab on my truck to replace my six injectors. Ford boys can have that monster all to themselves.

if i had a ford and to pull the cab to fix it........ i would.......with a cat EX320 excavator. I quit driving fords about 10 years ago. just could not seem to find one that ran properly. I know there are lots of good ones out there, lots of guys tell me so, i just cant seem to find one.

Sorry, fourteen hours was a typo. Did not mean to mislead anyone. I do have a buddy that the dealer tried to charge 16 hours for cab removal......it was the second time for injector replacement.....he new better........ was a 2004 or 05 6.0.

I've heard it's not as big of a deal as people think. After you do one or 2 I'm sure you can do it in WAY less than the 14hrs. I know Kyle at Crankitupdiesel can have a Dmax drive in the shop and he can have both the engine and transmission on a pallet in 2hrs by himself. I'm sure if you look that up the "shop time" isn't anywhere near 2hrs. That being said I'm sure a guy that works on Fords all the time can remove the cab as fast as the average owner can replace injectors in a Cummins.
Ford and Dodge build there truck cabs in the same way, the cab and front end are the same piece, a unibody type construction, as far as ive seen the chevys arnt, the front end on those are seperate from the cab.

That isn't an issue. You don't remove the cab or the front clip to pull a Dmax. My point was if you do something enough it becomes easy and you find shortcuts. The topic of this thread is pulling the cab to work on a Pstroke. To someone who's never done it it sounds horrible, same as most would think looking under the hood of a chevy. Some people on here take a week to swap injectors on a Cummins, while others can do it in a commercial break. If I had a choice I'd rather pull the cab on a Ford than pull the carbs off a 1200cc Yamaha waverunner again.
