A Bill Being Passed to Have the DPF Removed for Farmers and Commerical 6.7

Read over on Dodgetalk and Bully Dog rep said a bill is going to be passed to allow the removal of DPFs for Farmers and Commerical users alike.

Here is the link to the thread:
http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181827

Anyone know if it is true?

Read it again . A bill is TRYING to be passed . Won't happen . California even passed regulations requiring heavy off road construction equipment to be retrofitted with DPF equipment . I read a while back in " Light and Medium Truck " magazine that due to DPF's and rising costs of diesel fuel above gasoline some utility fleets are ordering new 1 ton and medium trucks with gas engines .

What he meant was it is nothing but a rumor and not very likely to happen.

Certainly won't happen. With Tier III and Tier IV emissions standards coming for off-raod equipment, no-one will be exempt anymore. The standards for Tier IV really make me shutter - do a google search on it.

i heard that in the coming years in california that you will have to have a filter in your pants to reduce your "emissions"after a visit to the local taco stand.

Why are they trying to gain exemption? Higher cost of maintenance?

I have yet to read of anyone getting a grass fire. If anything the ford will have to change. My truck regens at idle and when its in regen mode in park i can go to the tip and if i get closer than 18 inches away my hand will probably burn.
