I have an opportunity to get a commerical cummins out of a Bearing MD26 its a 26000 GVW straight truck. I was wondering what i need to to control the electronics map sensors ,throttle position etc. Bearing put there own crap on and they are no longer around is there an after market brain box ecm that will take care of everthing, or is it a candidate for a P-Pump converstion. It is a 5.9 24 valve the truck is a 2000 model it looks and is set up similer to mine in my pick up and is rated at 215 hp.

 

It should have a commercial Cummins ECM- which will not interface with a Dodge truck, but will work with an original APPS and has outputs for the gauges. (Cummins can give you specs for the CPL and serial number.)
It would be a nice candidate for a p-pump though- especially if you tear it down and add ceramic+teflon coated pistons, 14mm studs, fireringd or O-rings and twins. (After making shure it's not a 53 block )
