Best Diesel Related Song?
IMO
2. Diesel on My Tail by The New Riders of The Purple Sage and others
"I just pulled out on the highway in my little foreign car
It was raining and the road was mighty bad
I didn't see that big old diesel but I heard him hit the air
I've a feeling that I might have made him mad"
3. Looking at The World Through a Windshield by Del Reeves and others
"I’m gonna sign my name in this diesel smoke
And let the ones that come behind me choke"

Got that whole CD in the truck right now.

This doodlebug could never stand the jar.
He's pourin on the coal, so close I could steal his liscense plate.
Love it.
All of these are great songs... Im gonna have to make a CD or two
My vote probably goes to East Bound and Down - Jerry Reed, loved those Bandit movies... not that great, but classics...
Also a good driving song - Copperhead road - Steve Earle...

Merle Haggard "White Line Fever"
Johnny Cash "Monteagle Mountain"
CW McCall "Night Rider" just an awesome song, first stanza:
Well a truckin' on the night line
A quarter past five
Tryin' to get my rig an' me to Frisco alive
Fog lights up tryin' to give me the creeps
Just a Winnemucca trucker with a load of black sheep
I've got a cassette tape loaded with trucker songs and I listen to it in the crappy JVC deck in my First Gen. The whole experience is just priceless--the open exhaust and rattles on the First Gen, the music--I just want to keep going and never stop.

Listen to Austin, TX very own, Scott H. Biram. He's got alotta great truckin songs and just plain awsome tunes. One of the best live shows around AND he's a one man band.
Wayne "the train" hancock
Hank Williams III
and even the good ol' Reverend Horton heat has a few.
Of course Cash has some goodins
My vote for the best is a cover of "18 wheeler fever" by Biram

I'm a big Sawyer Brown fan, so I gotta vote for "Six Days", never heard any of the other versions though... might have to check those out.
"Well my rig's a little old, but that don't mean she's slow
There's a flame from the stack and the smoke's rollin' black as coal"
